OUR BELIEFS

About God - We believe that God is the creator and sustainer of the world. He is a God of love and liberation who deeply desires to be in relationship with His creation. He is one God but exists in three equal yet distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

About Jesus - We believe that Jesus is the son of God and is co-equal with God and the Holy Sprit. He was born to the Virgin Mary and was both fully human and fully God. He willingly came to the earth to reveal God to us and to redeem all of creation from our lives of sinfulness. He lived a sinless life yet was killed at the hands of his oppressors. He physically rose from the dead three days later having defeated death and sin and later ascended into Heaven where He reigns now as our Lord. His life shows us how to live, love, and treat others.

About the Holy Spirit- We believe in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is co-equal with God and Jesus. The Holy Spirit exists as guide and helper within us to empower lives that reflect the life of Jesus and draw us into God’s holiness. The Holy Spirit is actively working individually, communally, and in the world to bring all people to a greater understanding of God’s plan to redeem the world.

About the Bible - We believe that the Old Testament and New Testament are the inspired word of God. The Holy Spirit guided God-chosen humans to write this means of God’s communication with us. The Bible was not written as a rulebook but as a love story between God and His people.
